Kicking Horse Resort is located 14 Km from the Town of Golden, BC. Our properties are located at:

Glacier Mountaineer Lodge — 1549 Kicking Horse Trail - Golden, B.C.
Palliser Lodge — 1420 Palliser Lodge Trail - Golden, B.C.
The Aspens — 1549 Palliser Trail - Golden, B.C.
Whispering Pines — 1336 Palliser Trail - Golden, B.C.

From Calgary, Kicking Horse is approximately 3 hour drive. From Vancouver, it's a 9 hour drive (just over 700 Km). From Radium, it is a 1.5 hour drive north on highway 95.

HOW TO GET HERE

By Air:

The nearest international airport to Golden is Calgary International Airport (YYC), located approximately 260 kilometres (162 miles) east of Golden.  Upon arrival at Calgary Airport, you have a few options:

Car Rental:

Several car rentals companies are available at Calgary Airport.  From the airport, take AB-2 South and then transition to AB-1 West towards Golden.  Please note that it's always a good idea to check road conditions and weather forecasts before you start your journey, especially during winter months when driving conditions can be challenging. We recommend planning your trip accordingly and allowing extra travel time if needed.

To reach Kicking Horse Lodging, prefer to the detailed driving instructions below:

• Take Trans Canada Highway #1 to Golden. 

• Exit off the Trans Canada Highway #1 at the highway 95 junction.

• Continue south on Highway 95 and turn right on 7th Street N following the Kicking Horse Resort signs.

• Continue to follow 7th Street N and the resort signs, crossing train tracks and a one-lane bridge.

• After the bridge, you will begin traveling on Kicking Horse Trail.

• Continue uphill and within 15 minutes, you will arrive at the Kicking Horse Mountain Resort and pass by the welcome sign.

• Glacier Lodge is your check-in center for all the lodges.

• It is the second four story building on your left located at the base of the Gondola.

 Shuttle Service:

Get straight to the slopes on the only direct shuttle service between Calgary Airport and accommodations in Golden and Kicking Horse Mountain Resort, British Columbia. Bring your luggage for free, settle back and enjoy the spectacular scenic ride through the Canadian Rockies.

Golden Connector Shuttle

With regular service throughout the day, and extra evening service on Friday and Saturday evenings during main season its easy to get between Kicking Horse Mountain Resort and Golden with the connector shuttle.
