Please take note of the following operational procedures at Kicking Horse Lodging:

HOT TUBS

  • Palliser Lodge: The public hot tub is open.

  • Vacation Homes: private hot tubs in vacation homes are open.

  • Reservations are required at Glacier Lodge for hot tub use and can be made at the Front Desk.

Steam Rooms

  • The steam room in Glacier Lodge is closed for maintenance.

HOUSEKEEPING

  • For the safety of our guests and associates, housekeeping services are not provided during your stay.

 

Hotel Policies

  • Check in time is 4:00 pm. Early check in can be requested but cannot be guaranteed. Please contact Guest Services.

  • Check-out time is 10 am for guests staying in our Lodges.

    Check-out time is 10 am for guests staying in our Vacation Homes.

  • Yes, but late check outs are subject to availability and you must be arrange a late check out before your check out date. There are also costs associated with late check outs:

    Check-out after 12:00pm is subject to $20.00/hr.

    Check-out at 5:00pm: $55.00 + Taxes

    Check-out after 5:00pm: Full nightly room rate

    Late check out may not be available during December-March and June-September. Subject to availability.

  • For the safety of our guests and associates, housekeeping services are not provided during your stay. Guests can request fresh linens, towels, and room amenities.

  • For accommodations reserved during the peak season, which is our winter season and spans from December to April, the cancellation policy requires notification 14 days prior to the arrival date.

    During the off-season, the cancellation policy is set at 72 hours prior to the arrival date.

    If a cancellation occurs after the specified cancellation time:

    • If a one-night deposit was paid at the time of booking, it will not be refunded.

    • If no deposit was taken, a one-night room charge plus tax will be charged to the credit card on file

  • To avoid incurring early check-out fees, it is recommended to modify your reservation before your arrival. If you decide to depart early, a one-night room charge, along with applicable taxes, will occur.

  • During this highway upgrade project, road closures exist on the Trans-Canada Highway, just east of Golden. These primarily occur overnight. If the highway is closed, a detour is available via Radium, adding 90 minutes of travel time. Please visit the Kicking Horse Canyon website for a calendar of road closures.

  • Kicking Horse Lodging is independently operated from Kicking Horse Mountain Resort. All of the on-mountain activities are operated by KHMR (skiing, gondola, via Ferrata, grizzly bear refuge, Eagle's Eye restaurant, etc.). All on-mountain restaurants are either independently operated, or operated by KHMR. All of these businesses keep seasonal hours that vary between Winter and Summer seasons, with some closing entirely during shoulder seasons. As Kicking Horse Lodging is open year-round, we suggest you inquire directly with any activity operators or restaurants to confirm their hours of operation during your stay.

  • Yes. Kicking Horse Lodging charges a minimum deposit of one nights’ accommodation, unless otherwise specifically stated. When booking a resort package or a Vacation Home a larger deposit may be required at the time of booking depending on type of package and accommodation.

  • Yes. We have free outdoor parking and paid underground parking for an additional $15 fee per night for vehicles 8” and under in the Glacier Mountaineer Lodge.

    At the Palliser Lodge the clearance is 7”. Parking is first come, first serve.

  • No. Kicking Horse Lodging is 100% non smoking environment. This includes guest rooms, balconies and common areas.

  • Unfortunately, none of our suites or vacation homes are equipped with air conditioning. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

  • Yes. We have a few select pet friendly rooms and they are subject to availability. Please contact Guest Services to reserve at pet friendly suite. There is a pet fee of $25.00 per pet, per night up to $75.00.

  • Yes. Free Wi-Fi is available in all guest room accommodations and common spaces.

  • No, unfortunately Kicking Horse Lodging does not provide cots.

  • Yes. Kicking Horse Lodging does have playpens available. But, please request at time of reservation as there are a limited number available. There is no cost for a playpen.

  • All of our Vacation Homes have barbecues on the balconies. Palliser Lodge has a common barbecue for guests at Palliser Lodge to use. Barbecues are not permitted at Glacier Mountaineer Lodge.

 

Stay® | Well

  • HSEF is the Hotel Services and Environmental Fee and is part of Bellstar’s Stay® | Well program. We hope to inspire guests to become active and truly experience our destinations and at the same time give back to the environment by offering a wide variety of activities and services, outdoor activity programming, and a variety of seasonal gear to enable all guests to get out and enjoy the area. Included in this fee is a contribution to Bellstar’s Stay® | Green program, which supports local eco-friendly initiatives. For more information, please visit bellstar.ca/green.

  • Stay® | Well is an expanded version of Stay® | Green which still supports local eco-friendly initiatives. For more information please direct the guest to www.bellstar.ca/green

  • There were amenities that many of our guests consistently requested to enhance their stay with us. We are pleased to now be able to provide all our guests with many of these upgrades and services for a nominal fee.

  • Yes. This is a standard fee, guests are welcome to use all or none of the items included but the fee remains the same.

  • Access is provided upon guest check-in.
